About This Station

This weather station was an Oregon Scientific WMR200 for 8+ years, but since April 2024 it is an Ecowitt GW1102 (using a GW2000 gateway) comprising a WS68 anemometer with solar/UV, a WH40 rain gauge and WN32/WN31 temp/hum sensors situated in optimal positions for the highest accuracy possible in a small suburban garden. A WH57 lightning sensor was recently added. The live data are collected using Weather Display software and uploaded every 20 seconds. The rest of the site is updated every 5 minutes.

About This City

See Edinburgh.

This station is on the southern edge of the city, with a fantastic view (through power lines!) of the Pentland Hills, Europe's second-longest artificial ski slope and Scotland's first alpine coaster (see header).
